Shawn Mendes, Surf Mesa & More: What’s the Best New Version of ‘Can’t Take My Eyes Off You’? Vote!

Fifty-three years after Frankie Valli’s “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You” hit No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100, new versions have brought the song back onto the charts.

Surf Mesa’s sleeper hit “ily,” featuring Emilee, broke into the top 40 of the Hot 100 and topped Billboard’s Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart last month. And a Spanish remix titled “Te Quiero Baby” that Valli recorded with Chesca and Pitbull came in at No. 40 on the Hot Latin Songs chart, making it the 86-year-old hitmaker’s first entry on the tally.

“It’s always great to be on the charts,” Valli told Billboard in an interview. “When I heard the record, I thought they’d done such a great job. It’s amazing how this song has had so much light throughout the years.”

Now, on Tuesday (Nov. 10), Shawn Mendes took a stab at the song by performing a stirring, jazzy piano rendition of it at the BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge.

So which new cover of “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You” can’t you stop listening to? Vote below!
