Gambo serves flashiest music video of 2021 with; Drip

Young rich Ghanaian rapper, Bashir Annan famously known as Gambo has released a new single and a flamboyant music video ‘Drip’ taken off his forthcoming EP.

‘Drip’ is touted by some fans to be the most flashiest music video of 2021. ‘Drip’ is available on all digital streaming platforms globally here.

Gambo who is steadily building a reputation as the country’s fanciest rapper raised the bar yet again on this one. The single features VRMG head honco, Edem with production by Fortune Dane, mixed and mastered by Mike Millz.

‘Drip’ was shot by award-winning director, Yaw Skyface with star-studded cameo appearances from Ghanaian actress and model, Moesha Buduong, actress, video/photo vixen, Shugatiti and one of Ghana’s finest DJs, DJ Mensah.

Judging by the cameos in the video and the excessive display of bourgeoisie, it is easy to tell that lots of money was spent in the video shot at one of Kempinski’s presidential executive suites.

Gambo’s much talked about luxurious lifestyle is heavily evident once again in the visuals with his signature champagne wrist watch popping and robe. ‘Drip’ is certainly a contender for major awards this year.

Niro Walter amps up productive streak with debut album; Focus

Born Osareniro Osamudiamen Walter, Niro Walter – an Afrobeat singer and songwriter from Edo State, Nigeria belioeves sometimes you’ve got to lose some to win some and that’s the crux of his debut album, ‘’Focus’’.

Packing 13 songs and no feature in sight, Niro together with his producers of choice; Ksmithmajik, Limber, David Acekeyz and Supa Gaeta, put in the work to deliver a balanced album worth your time. ’Focus’ is available on all digital streaming platforms globally here.

The idea of releasing a 13-track album with no feature may come off as bizarre to many, but after a few songs in, it becomes pretty clear ‘’Focus’’ is no pushover.

Niro simply knows what he’s about, as evident in his throaty voice, charisma and storytelling approach; which when paired with the record’s production ethos is bound to get music enthusiasts hooked.

‘Prayer Answer’ sets the album in motion, embracing Niro’s textured voice from onset. His style and attitude go a long way on this one, unraveling a message akin to its title.

‘Link Up’ then swoops in, boasting an upbeat and party-ready production. It’s riddled with some sultry innuendos and ad libs sure to let you in on its infamous theme before ‘Wahala’ takes over.

The latter picks in on the former’s tempo, but in ‘’see me see wahala’’ style amid a banging hook. It’s a lengthy roaster from there, with ‘Drama’, ‘Money on My Mind’, ‘Gobe’, ‘SBBG’, ‘Corporation’, ‘Chilling’, ‘Faya’, ‘Marry You’, ‘God Bless’ and finally ‘Gbese’ rolling in to contend for your attention.

Having been active in the music scene since 2019, the burgeoning act found ground with two official singles; ‘Blessings Follow You’ and ‘No Giving Up’.

Niro would go on to release his first ever EP ‘’Wealth of Tears’’ a year later, paving the way for his now debut album, ‘’Focus’’. His gift to deliver a soothing feel, as well as inspire people through music is paramount to Niro’s philosophy and one he prides himself in.

Niro Walter hits the right notes in the nicest of ways and with an array of 13 songs to muster, ‘’Focus’’ may not be for everyone, but has something for everyone.

Yes, a few guest appearances would’ve been welcome, but with a theme tailored to his goals, ‘’Focus’’ still rocks enough charm to sell Niro’s frame of mind in a very familiar way.

Artiste/Producer Wars: MOG, King of Accra, BeatzDakay, others descend on A-list acts!

It’s been a bloody battlefield on Twitter since Sunday night between top shots in the music industry and hitmaking music producers who claim to have been underpaid or ignored for their services rendered to these A-list acts.

It’s a heated accusation from Beatzdakay to Stonebwoy, King of Accra & Streetbeatz to Sarkodie and the highlight –MOGbeatz and Willisbeatz to Shatta Wale.

In each of these conversations, producers have fumed on how they have been hailed and later on duped by these artistes as all their monetary promises to them end up being epic fails.

Some of them such as DJ Breezy, Streetbeatz, MOGbeatz have however hailed the likes of Stonebwoy and Sarkodie for paying up for services rendered.

Possigee has however come out to also explain the percentage splits that these producers must fight for, stating that some of the artistes don’t enlist their names for production credits when uploading their songs unto online stores.

Shatta Wale has been the only artiste so far to respond to the allegations while it seems the fanbases of Sarkodie and Stonebwoy have been the ones defending their stars so far.

Below are tweets of some of the most discussed allegations being levelled against these artistes:

Selina Boateng indirectly chides Diana Hamilton as she declines COVID-19 vaccination

Although colleague Gospel songstress Diana Hamilton has allowed her actions of getting COVID-19 vaccination, speak louder than her words, Selina Boateng isn’t yet in support of it.

Gospel Musician Selina Boateng states her position on the much talked about Vaccine Oxford/Astrazeneca which earlier arrived in the country on Wednesday, February 24, 2021, at the Kotoka International Airport.

She expressed her opinion on the matter when the host of Maakye on Onua TV Afia Tagor quizzed her whether or not she would receive the vaccine, to the amazement of the host she said no unless God reveals it to her.

Ghana became the first less developed country to receive six hundred thousand dose of the vaccine from one of the world largest manufacturers of vaccine, serum institute of India.

Majority of Ghanaians have expressed their opinion on the vaccine since its arrival, whiles some say they are ready to be vaccinated others haven’t expressed interest at all mainly citing it as the antics of the antichrist or the purported negative reactions it poses.

Selina Boateng is currently promoting her latest single “Meko Ama Wo” which literally means the Lord will fight for you.

The song takes its roots from the Bible when God rescued the Israelites from all the afflictions they went through.

She further stated the song is to encourage every individual going through any form of hardship to be firm, courageous and have faith in the Lord because he is capable of doing everything.
